Who is the Dallin Chase Girl? What inspires you? Two popular questions… never a good answer. Fortunately I can highlight two people who have inspired me since day one at Dallin Chase. Ava Sanjurjo pictured below with her mother Ava in this amazing photo (love the fabrics, the jackets, the layers, the bows, the crest, the necklace, the details, them… everything) and Annebet Duvall (the bombshell in a cotton field). Ava is one of my oldest and best friends. She is fiery, inspired and amazing. As for Annebet aside from suggesting we use my children’s name for the collection (which we did) she is a friend who would give you the shirt off her back, literally. At lunch one day I could not get over how great her super washed very vintage plaid shirt was. The next day she sent it to me. I reproduced the weave and it was in our very first spring collection… the shirt never made it back to her. My bad.
